Daniela is an internationally renowned, award winning, writer, photographer and director having worked with numerous luxury, fashion and travel brands, glossy magazines and ‘A’ list celebrities. New York–based for two decades, Daniela’s work has taken her around the globe to shoot in exotic destinations. Prolific in film, print and social media. She’s written and directed everything from Digital content to TV commercials and Long Format Digital Series for leading brands. Daniela studied film and photography in Melbourne, Australia and began her career as a director and photographer working with Australian brands and magazines. She shot to international success in her early 20s with the famous Guess jeans campaigns, featuring Anna Nicole Smith, prompting a move to New York and international representation, working on a truly global level with teams in Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo, Sydney and Los Angeles. Her photography has appeared in major glossy magazine from Vogue to GQ. She has also photographed and directed music videos for a variety of actors and musicians, including Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Pink, Fergie, Pdiddy, Radiohead, Tiesto. Daniela has two MTV awards for her direction and she has also won numerous photographic awards for her campaigns and editorials.
A consummate global traveler with 3 passports, She has privileged access to remarkable tastemakers, cultural icons and places that will inspire. Her storied career and interest in travel, culture, art, architecture, fashion and design led to a ten year contract with Conde Nast Traveler USA and cemented Daniela as a Travel Expert and Influencer. She then developed her own digital travel guides and television series “Modern Nomad” where she shares her travel experiences and knowledge, visiting exotic destinations around the globe from Capri to Cuba and Rajasthan to Rio. There she meets local tastemakers and cultural icons, architects, artists, and even Kings and Queens, who give her insider insight to that city. In the series Daniela has interviewed renowned artists Subote Gupta and Ai Wei Wei, Film Maker Mira Nair, Photographer Steve Mc Curry, The Maharaja of Jodhpur, Queen Rania and King Abdullah of Jordan. In the 2013, Daniela formed her own digital content company- Nomad Media Industries. Working with brands as a creative director on their various content initiatives. Projects for Conde Nast Traveler on Art and design at the Venice Biennale and Art Basel Miami, Vogue / Gucci & Bulgari collaborations, Leading Hotels, St Regis, The Taj Palace, The Aman Resorts, The John Legend Experience and Blue Illusion with Iris Apfel. As EP and Creative Director, she combines all her talents producing, writing, directing and creating digital content, while overseeing a team of thirty creative talents.
Daniela is currently writing and producing a passion project, which is a TV series, with host Celine Cousteau, Granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau, titled ‘Coming Up for Air’. Each episode focuses on remarkable people finding solutions to the worlds most pressing problems through innovation and creativity. Daniela is also developing two other digital series. One is on Creativity & Design titled ‘ICONIC’ and the other, a series about the history of Fashion & Hollywood titled ‘GLAM’, while continuing to work with brands and magazines. Daniela has appeared on numerous panels on photography, film and travel and has guest lectured at NYU, Pace University and RMIT.
